They say there’s no long-term in sports anymore. Instant gratification, negativity, melodrama, and the 24-hour news cycle are king. The days of the great national sportswriters, writing incisively and persuasively, giving us a dose of perspective and cluing us in to the great stories we’re missing, are over.

We won’t stop this tide. But we can push back.

Our goal is to provide timely sports discussion with a constructive, historical perspective. Because sports is nothing if not long-term, and that’s where the real stories are.
